Home Additions & Structural Framing

Adding square footage means getting the structure right the first time. We frame additions, garages, and new spaces built to last — and built to code.

Whether you're adding a bedroom, expanding a living area, or framing a new garage or shop, the structural work underneath is what makes everything else possible. We handle framing and additions across North Idaho and the greater Spokane region with the same care we'd want in our own home.

We'll walk you through what your project needs before we start — including where permitting applies — so there aren't surprises partway through the build.

What's Included

  • Room additions — bedrooms, living space, and multi-room expansions.
  • Garage & shop additions — framed and finished to match your home or built as standalone structures.
  • Structural framing — new-construction framing built to hold up for the long haul.
  • Load-bearing wall modifications — opening up floor plans safely, with the structural work done right.

FAQ: Additions & Framing

Do I need a permit for a home addition?+

Most additions require a permit in North Idaho and Spokane. We'll help you understand what's needed for your specific project before we start.

How do you determine if a wall is load-bearing?+

We assess the framing and structure directly — if a wall is load-bearing, we plan for proper support (like a header or beam) before it comes down.

Can you handle the whole project, or just the framing?+

Both — we can frame a structure for another crew to finish, or carry the project through from framing to final finish work.
